What would you like to tell us about your practice?

Specializing in fertility, pregnancy and other reproductive conditions in both women and men, Larisa works with couples trying to conceive naturally or with the help of IVF and other Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART). She treats a wide variety of conditions such as abnormal hormone levels, endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids, amenorrhea, painful or irregular menstrual cycles, recurrent miscarriage and male factor infertility, as well as offering care for women at all stages of pregnancy, pre- and post-natal.

Larisa’s integrative approach to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) combines a firm foundation in Western medicine with acupuncture, herbal medicine, and comprehensive nutritional and lifestyle counseling tailored to the individual or couple. Her training combines four years of Western herbal medicine and Ayurveda with a four-year Master’s degree in TCM from Five Branches Institute in Santa Cruz. Larisa also completed a clinical internship at the Zhejiang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China, focusing on the treatment of infertility and gynecological disorders. She continues to integrate elements of all these traditions into her practice.

Larisa is a charter member of the Fertile Soul Clinical Excellence in Fertility Program (www.thefertilesoulcefp.org), as well as a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (www.aborm.org), an organization devoted to raising the standard of competency for acupuncturists in the field of infertility. She practices out of the Back in Balance Wellness Center, located in the heart of Toluca Lake, just north of Silverlake and Los Feliz.
