Best acupuncturist I've ever found
I have been to many many acupuncturists over the years, and Scott is head and shoulders above them all. I've dealt with chronic fatigue and other vague but life-limiting symptoms for years, and he is the only one who has helped me make real progress in reversing them. He is very open about sharing his treatment process with me, which I really appreciate. He really knows his stuff, and communicates it in a way that gives me confidence in him. I'm also impressed that he has taught at Harvard Medical School -- that tells me that his work has credibility in a Western medical context as well.
He is also honest and candid when there is something he doesn't know how to treat. I've had so many practitioners tell me I just need to keep coming back every week (and paying them money) when we weren't making progress and it wasn't at all clear to me they knew what to do about it. Scott never does that!
And on top of all that, he is also a genuinely kind and caring person. He treats me as a whole person, not just a patient.
I give him the highest recommendation possible. I think he is exceptional.

An absolute must when I visit Boston
Scott's extensive knowledge of his field is apparent throughout each
treatment. When our sessions begin the symptoms I describe as a
layperson are not always the actual root of whatever issue I may be
wishing to treat. However, Scott is always able to ask the leading
questions that reveal that true issue (or issues) in the diagnostic
process. His ability to extrapolate physical and psychological
manifestations of certain ailments never ceases to improve my overall
continence after each visit. For example, on my last visit I arrived
with anxiety, constipation and general digestive problems. By my next
visit 4 days later, I had improved skin coloration, digestive relief,
bowel movements and had even slept better. By realizing that my 25
year old anxiety had much to do with not only my present psychological
situation, but also my blood stagnation and deficiencies, Scott was
able to elegantly treat my physical and psychological centers in a way
that supplemented the western treatments of various interrelated
symptoms.
Scott's connection with his patients, and his finely tuned awareness
of the interrelation between the body, the mind, and the history of
both in a patient, make him a valued member of his field. I don't
even live in Boston but make sure that when I visit, I can schedule as
many treatments as possible with Scott! Though our relationship is
based on that of a medical professional and his patient, I find that
he is not only gentle and accurate with his physical treatments, but
also inviting and objective with all diagnostic questions. I have
always felt that any and all concerns, symptoms and issues are
welcomed and considered in our consultations. He is not afraid to ask
the tough questions, and never judgmental of their answers--a trait
that only heightens the outcome of my sessions. As a patient who lives
in Colorado and chooses to continue pursuing treatments from Scott
whenever possible, I can attest to his irreplaceable skill and demeanor.
If you're looking for a practitioner, YOU CANNOT PASS HIM UP!

One of the best decisions I ever made
Scott Cedeno started treating me with acupuncture almost three years ago for Hypothyroidism. A blood test 6 weeks later revealed that my thyroid was back into healthy range. I can safely say that finding Scott and his Japanese form of acupuncture was one of the best decisions I ever made.
I continue to see Scott on a regular basis for overall health and well being. I have seen almost immediate results in his treatment of my thyroid, hormonal balance and most recently my migraines. Due to a crazy travel schedule, I had not seen Scott in over a month when I started having daily migraines for at least 2 weeks. After one session with Scott, I have not had any .
It is clear that Scott truly cares about his craft. He has a kind, caring and calming presence. His office and treatment rooms are professional yet welcoming and soothing. I feel that my acupuncture sessions with Scott are invaluable to my optimal health.

A friendly expert
I cannot possibly recommend Scott Cedeno of Beacon Street Acupuncture highly enough! He made me feel 100% comfortable, listened closely and compassionately, and my treatments with him were extremely effective.
I turned to acupuncture when I was experiencing mysterious fatigue, even though all of by vital signs (according to my MD) were perfect. Scott’s space and manner are immediately calming, warm, and professional. From the moment I arrived until I left I knew he had my best interest at heart because of his attentive listening, and comprehensive explanations of the treatment and process.
I have seen other acupuncturists and particularly appreciated how much he shared. He let me know what he felt happening in my pulse and in certain areas of my body, and how he was interpreting it. Before becoming an acupuncturist he studied shiatsu, chinese medicine and philosophy—it became clear to me that he has a vast wealth of knowledge to draw from. I felt I was in the hands of a true expert.
After each treatment I was deeply relaxed and/or energized (it varied and Scott explained why), and in a couple instances experienced significant shifts in a physical ailment he addressed. Scott also recommended a number of helpful complimentary health habits that I have been able to integrate into my life, and so far, my fatigue has not returned. I feel very fortunate to have received his treatment and counsel.
